Teatr.doc’s tours in December
Elena Gremina performances «A Brief History of Russian Dissent» and «The Last Party» is going on the tour in December. Both tour are connected to the human rights defending theme discussed on the Russian and Polish independent theatrical stages.
«House of Human rights» invited Teatr.doc to show «A Brief History of Russian Dissent» in Voronezh on December, 6th. The performance will take place on the book club's «Petrovsky» stage and this will be the third time we come to Voronezh and play on this stage.
The performance is based on the different Russian documents – from 18th century till the present time. All the stories in the performance are about freedom and justice which are above all.
On December, 10th at 19:00 Teatr.doc will show our performance «The Last Party» in Warszawa. The tour in Warszawa is the part of the project «For the success of our hopeless cause» organized by «The Centre for Polish-Russian Dialogue and Understanding» in collaboration with «For Free Russia Association» during the Watch Doc festival.
The shows are timed to coincide with the death anniversaries of outstanding human rights defenders: Lyudmila Alekseeva, Arseny Roginsky and Andrey Sakharov. The documental films dedicated to these people will be shown on December, 8th in Ujazdowski Castle Centre for Contemporary Art (Warszawa, ul.Jazdów, 2 at 16:00).
The performance «The Last Party» will be shown at the same place on December, 10th at 19:00. There will be a meeting with the actors after the play. The playwright Anna Dobrovolskaya will participate in the discussion about the past and present of Russian human rights defending. The discussion will take place on December, 11th at 18 p.m. in Centrum Zielna (Warszawa, ul. Zielna 37).
