Episode One: PUSHKIN AND MONEY
In this episode we tell a story about how much money you would pay in Pushkin’s time for a shot of vodka, a servant boy, one line of Eugene Onegin, how much it would cost to rent an apartment, to buy a wedding dress or dueling pistols, and dinner at a roadside tavern. Was his salary of five thousand rubles a year enough to cover all of Pushkin’s expenses?
This is a play for families. Both adults and children will find something of interest in it and get the opportunity to dip into the life of this great writer.
This Teatr.doc production was first shown during “The Night of the Museums” in 2015.
