The stories you have never heard before. “The Word and the Thing” is an educational theatrical serial about the famous writers, their relations with the material world and their attachments to the certain things.
Episode One: PUSHKIN AND MONEY
In this episode we will tell a story about how much money in Pushkin’s times would you pay for a shot of vodka, a serf boy, one line of “Eugene Onegin”, a rent for an apartment, a wedding dress, dueling pistols and a supper in a roadside tavern. And was the salary of five thousand rubles per year enough to pay for all Pushkin’s expenses?
This is a play for family viewing. Both adults and children will find something interesting in it and have an opportunity to dip into the life of this great writer.
This Teatr.doc’s project was first shown during “The Night of the Museums” in 2015.
