BOLOTNAYA SQUARE CASE
Based on interviews with relatives of convicted for Bolotnaya Square case.
«Bolotnaya Square case» — a play of the Teatr.doc about the most infamous Russian political process of the recent years. The participants of a criminal case was detained during the protest action "March of Millions" on May 6, 2012. Many of them received real terms and at present are in prison.
Innocent people are still in jail. Their lives and lives of their relatives are smashed. The public is less and less mindful of the "Bolotnaya case" prisoners because the information space today already oversaturated with negative news.
There is an ancient wise saying: If you can not change the situation, then change your attitude towards it. The society could not change anything about "Bolotnaya case", so it just trying to forget about what happened. But there are people who do not want nor can do it – those ones who now are in jail and their relatives. They have to live with it every day.
Theatre.doc could not stay on the sidelines. Even during the investigation it participated in protests in support of the detainees of "Bolotnaya case." Now the theater team has created a performance based on documents and interviews with detainees and their relatives.
